Ken,
Does your guy only work on pool motors, or is he a general repair guy? I need to find a guy that can diagnose/fix my air compressor motor.
Thanks.
Dropped it off to a repair shop. Guy had thousands of parts all over the place. I like that. $95 to replace the capacitor, new bearings, and a new seal kit. Seems like a fair price, mainly because I don't have time to screw with it. New motor is $400.
M3 is always the answer.

Don't look...there's nothing down here for you!
Got the motor back today. Will install it tonight. Guy cleaned it up, painted the case, new bearings, new seals, new capacitor (that was he problem), oiled and ready for service. Will know if it works tonight. Delivered as promised.

Left him a VM today. Haven't heard back yet.

Thread Resurrection here. Used Ken-O's 'Best Electric' on a polaris booster pump. Been installed a few weeks now and it is working like new. Good tip. I called Tolbert but they were about $35 higher for similar work.
95 r white
The other pump died last month. I picked up the capacitor at Leslie's for $35, good as new. If anyone needs a Polaris quick connect I have 3 extra ones. They come in bags of 4. The first one lasted 6 years until it started to leak.
