So I'm making my shopping list:
- Resurface Replacement Flywheel
- Clutch Kit
- Rear Main Seal on the Motor
- Front main Seal on the Transmission
- Shift Boots
- Little bastard cooling hose for the oil cooler
Anything else I am missing?

Throw out bearing and Transmission tail shaft seal. Maybe go ahead and change the trans fluid while you are at it since you will most likely spill some on the floor anyway. Maybe the bushing that goes on the end of the shifter since I just had to replace mine recently. How about a braided slave cylinder hose? I have a used one I'll sell you cheap. Probably also a good time to check the motor mounts since the drivers is normally a PITA to access with the exhaust in place.

Change tranny fluid while you're there?

Some examples : I was drunk enough not to really care that she turned out to be a dude, I just wasn't ready for all the tranny fluid."

Not sure if it is the same for NB 6MT, but the Motorcraft Synthetic trans fluid has been terrific in the NC, much smoother shifts than oem. Pretty reasonable at any Ford stealership.

Here is what we suggest when doing a clutch.
Clutch and pressure plate
Throw-out bearing
Pilot bearing
Rear main seal
Front trans seal
Front trans gasket
Tail shaft seal
Motor mounts (If your's are original they're probably torn. Since you are removing the header anyways, the motor mounts are a few more steps)
Gear oil (2 qts)
Small and large shift boots
Optional
Lightened fly wheel
Diff Oil (1 qt)
Is this the front trans gasket?? - GASKET (FE50-16-225A)

^I might have some new 'spare' parts from when we did my '95. I'll check my parts box when I get home tonite.
All the parts look good if it's a 5-speed. The front trans gasket is for 5-spd only and is FE50-16-225A
If you have a 6-spd, forget the front trans gasket and replace the front trans seal for Y601-17-131
Why not go with the mazdaspeed motor mounts? I can bring a pair to Propwash if you'd like.

I guess I just don't see the advantage.
Why put the competition mounts on it? More vibration?? Impress the JDM crowd?? Why???
Actually I just asked the kid and she likes it the way it is so stock mounts is what I'll get. I can always switch them later.

Honestly it's your call and yes you will feel a little more vibration with the MS mounts, but they will also last longer.
