New to the Board
Hey everyone. Just joined this forum. I've got a 2001 Miata LE, black, 6 speed, tan leather. I'm in the process of getting it fixed up after the major DFW hail storm 2 months ago. It got beat to hell at the airport. I replaced the factory top with a new Robbins glass window top. I used several posts on this forum to find out how to do the work myself and wanted to thank everyone for those posts. They saved me about $600 of install labor. I ordered a new Miata hood and had it painted at the vendor. It is due in this week. Got my fingers crossed that it is a good match for the orginal (fixing the hail dents in the factory hood was just too expensive). Thought about going carbon fiber but wanted to stick with the factory latch and didn't want to use hood pins. I'm now trying to find an after market trunk lid. Can't find any metal ones online yet, all I seem to find is carbon fiber or fiberglass. Would like to stick with metal if I can. After the body work, comes a Hard Dob rollbar, then a new set of brakes and pads, then shocks, springs and sway bar and then new seats. Definately will be looking for help on the forum for as much work as I can do myself. Thanks in advance.
