    Default So Long Texas....

As some of you may know, I have been working to get a business up and running in Dallas for the last few months. Unfortunately, I have not been able to do so, and as a result will be moving back to Wisconsin next weekend.

It has been my pleasure over the last couple of years to meet all of you, to race with all of you, and to hang out with you as well. You are a really great bunch and I really appreciate your hospitality. The Texas Region, ER, NTAXS and the BMW clubs are all excellent organizations and put on great events.

I have met some really great people, and will miss you all.

Take care, and best of luck.

Thanks for all the good wishes. I will keep you up to date on what is happening up in cheese-land. Anyone have any recommendations on how to best tie-down the miata on a Budget rent-a-trailer?

^I'd strap it down at suspension points or via the sub-frame. Reduce bounce and movement.

No need to trailer it. Just sell it to me before you go.
    Good luck cheese head.

I have heard that strapping it down by the wheels is the best. From what I have read strapping it down by the sub frame can be hard on the shocks. Still many people do it that way, and that’s the way I did my S2000. Only killed one shock.

    Wheels of cheese?

I also have heard that securing the wheels is best.

Good luck and come back soon.

Straps through the wheels or around the spokes are the easiest on an NC. I have a full set of straps/tie downs you can use for the trip if you need.

I strapped through the wheels the times I've trailered mine and it worked great. Sorry to see you go, but I'm sure your name will pop up on the podium reports in the future!

Thanks for the offer. The trailer has 4 sets of chains on ratchets, and it appears that for about $30 I can get a set of axle straps from Southwest Wheel. The axle straps will work, correct?
