With no autox this weekend, its the perfect time to get the DFWmiata crowd out for a night of drag racing! This Friday, Texas Motorplex in Ennis. $15 to run, $10 to spectate.

I plan to get out there around 8:30 and stay for a couple hours, longer if we get a crowd. The turnout has been small, so no waiting and plenty of runs.

Bump! Hope to see some of y'all out there. KenO and I will be meeting at 6:30 pm for a pre-event dinner at Ojeda's in DeSoto on North Hampton Rd, about a mile south of I-20. All are welcome.

I just plan on hitting 88mph on the way there and then I'll turn on my Acme Flux Capacitor.

Yeah... that would require a moderator's touch.

Good time tonight. The rain barely grazed the track, maybe a 10minute delay. The GT-R scared almost everyone, but his 11.7's were awesome. KenO got in 22 runs, and I think he was in the very low 13.3's.

The MSM got down to 14.6's, but heat soak was killing him late. We ran the NC against the MSM 8 times! He was winning early, and I was getting him later in the night. I think I ended up winning 5 of 8, and several races were near photo-finishes. Fastest run for me tonight was 14.955, a little slower than my best ever in the car.

Only four of us this time, but we should do it again in the fall. We had all the runs we could handle.

In for KenO vid/data. Pics? Clutch leftovers? Sounds like fun. Perhaps when it cools down in the fall..

It was humid as hell but I had fun watching the two Miatas duke it out. I'd like to try it agian when it cools off a little as I was having heat soak issues both with the car and my brain.

Was a great time! Sadly the MSM doesn't handle heat very well, I was all over the place as far as my ET goes, trap speed was in the 94-95mph range. Mike was awesome with his R/T and some great 60' times considering he was running street tires. Holy cow godzilla was crazy fast until the car decided it had enough. Ken's M3 was running real strong and pretty consistent. Was fun watching Ken turn the track into a circle track (run after run after run).

My best run was early on after the quick rain passed us. I managed a 14.679 @ 95.12mph
Car is making 178rwhp on a mustang with 10lbs boost. Tires (195/55/15 Falken 912) and heat soak were holding the car back a bit, but the loose nut behind the wheel held the car back even further. I'm down to run again later in the season when the weather isn't so hot.
