This hood pop-up feature got a lot of press a while back when a poor GTR driver rear ended a white van... the thing did it's job and popped up. Repair bill was something like $10K to fix it all. ( LINK ). I'd almost be afraid to hit a cone good and hard with this "feature".Nice feature for dealing with slow corner workers..

Yep. They just announced that they (Mazda) plan to partner with Alfa so they can use the platform for both cars. That means there has been little development. Expect at least two years, probably three or four.
That front bumper still has that Mazda smile on the front. Why do they do that, why? NC1 is best looking front end.
