There are NO self service gas stations in Oregon!!
I thought there was something wrong with the pump. Then a gas station employee came running up fo me saying I cannot pump my own gas and that it was $500 fine if I did! Oregon is the only state in the union that does not have self serve gas stations. NJ was that way and fhey changed not long ago. I guess that is why gas costs $3,98 per gallon.

Drove through Crescent City Ca and stopped to buy gas. They wouldn't let me pump my own gas either. It was OK, because the guy told us about a very good seafood restaurant!

I remember that from back back in the days when my girlfriend (now wife) lived in Portland.
It was actually kind of nice and if you just had to pump your own gas you could just drive over to Vancouver, Washington.
