Great driving DavidSS and all the DfW drivers. Nice to see more familiar names on the top of the standings. Bring back some trophies!

Things are going well up here in Farmington. The site is a casino/horse track parking lot. It's medium grip asphalt with maybe 20ft of elevation change. The event is running pretty slowly, the local region doesn't have a lot of experience running national level events. And there are 40-50 first time prosolo entrants and of those there are 20 first time autocrossers.

One crazy thing that happened today, a couple got married in the casino and then came out to watch the event. I think they were in full wedding dress (not 100% sure as I didn't see it myself).

And the Saunders' are staying in some hippie bed and breakfast that has no tvs, radio, or air conditioning.

The story of the weekend (for me anyway) was taking my whole family to a National event. First time that's happened, and it was a blast.

Both my sons drove, and it was the first Pro for both. Stephen (age 12) in Formual Junior A, and Benjamin (15) got the ride of his life in MWortham's Z06 in SS. (HUGE props to MWortham for that) I had to get special permission from the Topeka crew to allow a passenger (he's on a learner's permit). Since I was a competitor my wife had to ride with him. Finally - the whole crew involved... !

They both did great, and except for the long ride there and back they both said they'd love to do it again. I haven't had a chance to get through all the video yet, but here's Stephen's fastest left and 2nd fastest right side runs. Stay with it to the end to catch his epic spin...

A Z06 is just like a Miata, but with the other half of the motor . . .

The event had its share of timing and operational issues, but fun and challenging course that dared you to go faster and harder each run :). Only the very tough vertical gate (similar to bus lot recently) taken at speed was disappointing, and caused lots of coneage. We did get to see some of the west coast hot shoes in action, and had a great time at pizza dinner saturday night with all.
