I've got a M2 sport roll bar on my miata.
I'm a big fan of the M2 hard core, double diagonal...

I think they're both mounted the same, so at least that's taken care of.

Does anyone have a M2 Hardcore that they want to swap for a sport roll bar?

The Hard Core Hardtop is a beefier version of the Sport. The Hardcore is a different bar.

Are the mounting spots to the chassis the same? I'm aware the hardcore is thicker so there would be some modding to the surrounding areas.

I went from the M2 sport to the M2 HC Hardtop and can say that the rear mount points are NOT the same.

The Hardcore main hoop is farther forward and I'd bet the rear braces are not going to line up. That being said, a swap is completely doable but you might be drilling more holes. I'd also recommend new hardware. The locking nuts are not multi-use. YMMV.
