You can check w/ Stevan, I don't know if he does much NC work.

What is the point of doing the mods? The power gain will be minimal without a tune. If it is still under warranty the dealer might give you crap. If you are looking for better performance for autocross or the track buy wheel and tires. A good set of sticky street tires will eclipse bolt on mods.
M3 is always the answer.

If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Don't listen to those guys. I suggest turbo or superharger now cause they will make your intake mod usless. Or perhaps you can check with Vorshlag as I'm sure they could hook you up with an LSx swap, which you could still turbo/supercharge. Then, add a 300 shot of nawzz, and you should be golden.
Good luck and have fun with your new MX-5.
It's true that these will not help much with power, but they will make it sound better. See if Mazdaspeed has a line of performance items that will keep your warranty. You might have to get your dealer to install them, but check with Gary at Track Dog about installation, too.
Skip the CAI, the Mazdaspeed or Goodwin muffler are a good upgrade and sound nice. If you must have a CAI, get the one from Track Dog - its the only one on he market that doesn't require bumper removal to clean the filter. Cheaper than Mazdaspeed too.
The best investment you can make in a stock mx5 are some aftermarket springs and maybe upgraded sway bars, then some decent tires. Those alone will transform the car. The oem springs are too tall and floppy. Fix those, and it's excellent as-is.
