Thread: Best belts?

    Default Best belts?

Hello Miata folk, I am new to the club.

I just bought a 1995 NA and it's great except for screeching bloody murder when it cold-starts, sometimes for 30 seconds and sometimes for two seconds.

I'm going to give it new belts all around. Are the OEM belts the best? My timing belt looks new, just the alt/WP and PS/AC belts need replacing.

    Cheers.

OEM's are good, as are Gates.

I used NAPA because im a cheap bastard. They were like $8 and $15, and NAPA quality is usually better quality than vatozone/oreileys. If they're adjusted right even cheap belts should be fine, unless i'm wrong... haven't tried many of them.

Many NAPA belts are produced by Gates, just check the packaging.
