Compound is personal preference, but run one engineered this decade.

Buy $10 in temp strips so you can see if you need to pay $50/liter for Motul or run $15/liter Ate.

We ran 20+ hours straight in our Lemons Miata on DTC-30s with zero issues.
John and I both melt DTC-30s on 120hp Miatas. He will destroy 30s, I melted them down ultimately to brake failure in 3 sessions at MSR-C. They have a 1200*f MOT, Shane is closer to 1800-2000 firebrand temps.

    I like PFC-01 too.

my car isnt street legal, trailered to and from the track.

as i said before, ill give up a bit of performance for longevity. those blues lasted 3 track days at 2:04-2:02 pace, i want something that lasts longer. I thought the pfc-01 was a lower temp pad, is it not? i know carbotech has an enduro pad, the rp2, i used it on my boss and it worked well and it is made to last longer than a xp10. all the pads seem to cost the same roughly, so i don't care the brand as long as i can hoon to 2:01 standing on the brakes with no fade and they fit the factory 94m calipers front and rear. am i dreaming hoping for pads that will last 6 track days at least? that would be replacing roughly twice a year for me, i can live with that anything longer is icing.

trey if you ran those pfc-01s and ken did too, you guys run faster laps than me. what sort of duration are you getting out of them?

Our cars and brakes are all too different to compare. On my gigantic brakes and 210whp limit I went like 10-15-hours on mixed tracks per set of pads. But my brakes are gigantic so they should not be compared.

You cannot run an XP10 on that car with those little rotors, you must run no less than an XP16. Since Carbotech uses a ceramic binder, you are infinitely more susceptible to damage from overheating because once that MOT is exceeded, the pad material literally melts off. I have a pic of an XP12 somewhere on here...

How am I going to do retarded shit that doesn't make sense on corner entry? I drove a stock braked Miata all weekend on XP12s and it's not bad, I just don't like them.

Had a great time, cool event, I was having major issues with my down pipe nuts flying off so i could only get in 1/2 a session each time.
I have been running carbotechs, they were shit with my 11.75 BBK until I got ducts, now they are not too bad, but at $200 a set I am going to DTC-60's which are $60/set for my calipers.
I got 2 sets of DTC-60's and 4 rotor rings for the same price as a set of RP2 carbotechs.

Man, you must have really been going fast for your nuts to fly off in the corners. Mine were stretching but never detached thankfully.

Speaking of ken-o, did you have to change shorts after this?
