+1 on novices. You won't be instructed, but the Green run group is very tame and designed to give people a level of comfort while they learn the line. If you autox, you can probably handle the Toy Run.

Remember track heroes, this is not a regular HPDE event. It is a more like a casual track day with the goal of helping others. If you are attending with the idea of having a full on HPDE event you will be a sad panda. That said, sign up, help others, and don't be an ass-hat.
M3 is always the answer.
I will never forget the Cadillac CTS-V blowing by me in the long straight a couple of years ago out there. I could hear it coming long before it passed me.
I will also not forget the POS Honda Del Sol that spun out right in front of me in the last big turn. I thought I was going to t-bone him!

1994 Black NA - SOLD
2006 Red NC - GT with limited slip, HIDs, all OEM.
I think Ken means we're out there to have fun and not expect to set any records. There are no instructors so beginner's need to be extra careful not to overwork their brakes. ECR is not a track you want to go off. Intermediates will probably be too crowded for clean runs so just work on your weak spots. Just have fun out there.
Oh, and if you're an autocrosser and expect ECR to be a cinch, you may wanna enter Pike's Peak next year too.
