    Default SAE 85W-140 gear oil for my transmission?

    what are your thoughts on the lucas high performance gear oil? i wanted to go with amsoil of something of that sort but they dont sell that stuff at autozone.

    what store can i go to to buy this? i didnt see it up at autozone or o'reilley yesterday.

    will do, but my main concern right now is this lucas oil. does this work okay with na trannys?

    Personal choice will hide a multitude of ills, but I believe you will find any 85w-140 lubricant WAY too thick for a Miata transmission. Those are used in the differential. The guys suggesting RedLine, Amsoil, Etc. have a reason.

    id rather not have to order it. i live in collin county on the north side of dfw, anyone know of a place in the metroplex that sells amsoil/redline?

    I got some MT-90 from Track Dog a couple months ago. I believe they stock a couple options.

    Thanks all! But I went to another o'reillys close to my house that carries Lucas 75w-90 I'm gonna give that a try.
