If engine RPM's are going up and speed is not, I'm thinking clutch. Do you get a burning smell if you do it a lot?
Ok so I have a 1990 miata with a 1.8 motor swap. Its works flawlesly until recently. When ever I floor it my rpms go up but my speed barely increases but if I keep it below 3k it will work fine . It shifts in and out of gears fine so I don't think its transmision. Oh one more thing seems like I always have to adjust/ put back into place the air filter ¿hose? Back into the manifold after I drive it.

^or the rear main seal is leaking and blowing oil on the clutch...common failure.
Yep, if the engine is increasing in speed and the car isnt, then something is slipping in the drivetrain. Clutch is the most obvious place to start. Fried clutch and oil leak in the bellhousing will give similar results, but the smell will be different. Do you leave oil drips where you park?

No oil leaks... and I replaced the clutch when I got the motor swap back in july... I will say that the clutch pedal started squeaking a lot even after lubricating it
Maybe you need to describe the problem In more detail. I am hearing that the car drives fine up to 3k rpm, then stops accelerating when the rpms climb higher. Are you saying that the acceleration is diminished, or that the engine doesnt want to rev? Can you rev it to redline in neutral?

Lol didn't realize it was private I fixed it.
Here is the Video
Looks like it is time for a clutch.
Allright well check this out I took it for spin today and it worked fine. I mean I could floor it to redline in all gears without a problem. Check these photos. I always have to put it back into place because the radiator hose is touching it... could this result in why it runs funny only after driving it for about an hour.

Looks to me like you might want to shorten the hose a bit so it doesn't make contact and tighten the clamp on the intake tube.

Clutch is done.
TXMC: Drinkin, shootin, racin!
Sounds like wheelspin from all of that naturally aspirated 1.6 torque.
This is what mine is doing and it is auto trans mechanic said it was the throttle position sensor, I haven't replaced yet, and my hold light comes on like it is slipping out of gear, so I have to stop and put in park then drive and con't driving, any suggestions
