Go check out crutchfield.com...they have a very good website and should show you what's compatible.

My preference would be to fix this radio, but I am cheap!

I did to an extent. I just bypassed the bose amps. There are 2 amps about the size of a pack of cigarettes buried up behind the dash. You have to remove the dash to remove the amps. I just got a small 2 channel amp, speakers, and a new head unit. That will take care of the problem.

POS, I might have it somewhere in the garage, not sure but I think I sold it to BR. I am a little leary of those^. Converting from speaker level inputs to a line level output can be tricky. Let me discuss with co-worker who used to manage a Cartoys

After discussion, the converter will work, best way is to go RCA in and speaker wired out. Just start with everything turned down low and slowly raise the level of each speaker.

On my MSM I didn't bother bypassing the amp. It's just wired speaker level to the bose amp and speakers. Sounds good and haven't had a problem with it.

Yep. I bought it for the wife's MPV for the 6-disc in dash changer. Just took the modular 6-disc changer and swapped it with the single disk player and sold the Bose with the single disc. Sorry POS. I imagine a stock Bose unit should be easy enough to source. Check Parts Group or Planet Miata.

Oh, gawd, my life just rewound about 40 years. BTW, I think I owned that Realistic radio at one point. Yeah, I know, rich kid.

Hello I need to purchase new sound system. Which is the best option under my budget of $200

POS Racing, I've had a lot of success using Shoe Goo to repair plastic things that move around and take a lot of abuse - because it's flexible, the glue bond is not likely to break. Kinda the plastic equivalent of tacky wood glue.

Does anyone got a dead one of theses radios laying around?? I want to see if I can replace the front panel since the radio in the car still works great.

I looked in our parts pile and we have one. It's a bit rough. Missing the big knobs and a scuffed up face but all the buttons are on. $20.00
