Street Alignment NB

Kids 2002 Miata is pulling to the right. It was doing it before she got it but the previous driver never let it go straight so it wasn't a big deal.

We don't plan to use the '02 for Autocross or Track stuff this year. (Kid says we should tear up dad's car and leave her car alone....)

I know I could take it to Texas Track works and get a one time alignment done on it but it is a street car. But I know from experience they do great work....

Is there another source for quality alignment on the westside??

I used Driver's Edge in Keller before. Their rack is well maintained. The manager did my alignment... But not sure what to expect from their workers.

I had horrible experience at the NTB around the corner. Tech tried to tell me he couldn't get over 1 deg camber because there wasn't enough adjustment.... The start measurement was 2 deg though.... and he was turning the wrong way.

Yea slowchild that is what scare me about taking the car anywhere....

The NTB on 377 is OK for mounting tires that I had shipped in from Tire Rack but I've never had them touch any of my cars.

Not alot of good options, but plenty of bad ones.

BTW I have toe plates if you want to just check/adjust toe.

+1 on bad experience with ntb alignment.
I don't know what they gave me but it sure as heck wasn't what I asked for.
They found it amusing that I even asked for certain numbers.

I took my numbers to Texas Track Works. They had the same numbers already.

well yall are at least fortunate to have good options(even if they are a little more expensive) because here in little ol' temple,tx we are pretty much limited to mom and pop outfits or national chains that neither "specialize" in performance alignments. I know the one time i inquired at one of these said shops about some negative camber on a car that i was wanting to get an alignment and the owner responded in typical fashion and said, "sure i can but it will wear out your tires faster." Which with my limited knowledge it it my understanding that toe will do it much quicker....what do i know.

I guess i will have to cope or find some where in austin or go to dallas/ft. worth to get a perf. alignment w/o the ridicule.

What is a good "all around alignment" for our little go-karts?

Here is two that i found on miata.net that i was considering:
Miq's alignement
FRONT
Caster +4.7 to +5.5 (what ever the maximum attained is)
Camber -0.6 to -0.8 (this number varies with the caster)
Toe 1/16" per side, or 1/8" _total toe out_
REAR
Caster not applicable, there is no adjustment possible
Camber -1.1
Toe 1/16" per side, or 1/8" _total toe in_ or zero

or something a little more aggressive: Lanny's alignment

Rear
	Toe:	1/32 inch (0°4.5' or 0.075°) IN per side
	Camber:	-1.75 degrees
Front
	Camber:	-1.2 degrees
	Caster:	5.0 degrees
	Toe:	1/32 inch IN per side

Yep Ive run that & I got a tweaked version that I use on my Autocross Miata.

Ok, thanks. I have heard of them before when shopping for miata's, one of them said all the work on his was done by this shop and he swore by them.

I'm very happy with the alignments on my Odyssey and yellow Escort done by Bobby Gentry's Muffler in Denton. They are at 708 S. Locust.

Get your suspension first because if you lower the car that changes a couple of things.

Alignments are fickle what I want out of my Miata for Autocross and a rare track event may be much different than say what I want on the kids car or what slowchildmiata would use for his Profesional Hardparking.
