Default Anybody have experience doing the 60k service on an NB?

Hey guys, I'm looking to do the major service on my NB myself. I'm referring to the timing belt, water pump etc job. I've not done this before so if someone could help guide me while I do it I would really appreciate it. I'm in Coppell and am looking to do this on a weekend in the near future.

Thanks in advance, my number is 214.803.9579

It is easy. If there are 2-3 that want to do it at Jack Junkies at the same time I'll see if I can come point at what to do.

The big thing is to get ALL of the parts you need upfront.

Rosenthal Mazda has everything you need for a decent price. Get the TB/WP kit along with the kits for belts and hoses. Might as well do it all while you've got it torn down.

I didn't say I would do the work for you. There are plenty of resources online like the one POS Racing linked to that list everything for you.

    Don't be jealous!

He actually has a bunch of good pointers on his YouTube channel. The timing belt stuff is pretty good both parts 1 & 2!

Why not just start a list

    water pump
    2 wp gaskets
    timing belt
    timing belt idler
    timing belt tensioner, check spring
    front main crank seal
    cam seals
    two main belts
    cam cover gasket
    cam cover RTV
    thermostat
    thermostat gasket
    remove thermostat jiggle valve
    plugs and wires?
check the elusive bolt for the a/c bracket that tends to leak(if applicable)
    clean idle air passage

    Simple list is simple.
