    ForSale Car Insurance Rate Hike?

I got hit with a 20% increase in car insurance rate hike in March policy renwal. I wonder anyone experience such a steep rate hike? My agent says it was the lost from the storms from last year. The home owner rate will also be increased on next renewal!

Ya sure it isn't from all the cars you wrecked and or burnt to the ground in recent history??

Haven't seen a rate increase yet.......

The totaled car was claimed against the jerk behind me and the accident was totally his fault when my car was stationary and was not a moving accident. The fire incident was under my son's own policy. BTW, the only damage was the belly pan and the body shop paid for it and no claim was filed. My home owner is under $1200/year. I wonder how much it will be on renewal?

^Who is your carrier? FWIW, I haven't seen anything about increases from Amica.

I have all the insrances with Travellers. They are higher on auto and lower on home owner. I just priced them out with Progressive. Progressive is around $300 less for the cars and home owner is close to $500 more per year.

Check with Amica....I saved a bunch of money switching to them and have been very happy with their customer service.

I just got my renewal notice from Progressive and it's about 5% lower than last time...

Yes, I saw a similar rate hike. I live in Sachse, TX. Maybe us metroplex dwellers are being punished for all the stupid drivers.
