09 and yellow shocks mean lsd
What year did they update the NC with the higher rev limiter and stronger motor? On the NC+ which models have LSD?
2009? Might want to check miata.net.
1990 White NA - SOLD
1994 Black NA - SOLD
2006 Red NC - GT with limited slip, HIDs, all OEM.
I don't go to miata.net because it's mostly full of misinformation and ignorance.

2008 Facelift

2009 Mazda MX-5 Miata hardtop (US)
The MX-5 facelift was unveiled at the 2008 Paris Motor Show and Science Museum in London,[18][19] and later in 2009 Chicago Auto Show.[20][21] The Japanese model went on sale in December 9, 2008 at Mazda and Mazda Anfini dealers.[22][23] Major changes concern the restyled front which now incorporates elements from Mazda’s newer models like the larger grille and new head and fog lights. Further restyled elements are the side skirts, rear bumper and the tail lights. The soft-top Touring and Grand Touring models feature a mesh grille bordered by a chrome frame. The hardtop Roadster Coupe now features a mesh grille bordered by a chrome frame and chrome elements inside the headlamps and outer door handles. The instrument panel gained darker features and redesigned graphics for the gauges. To create more leg space in the cabin, a protrusion from the door pockets was eliminated. The 2.0-litre engine was rated 167 bhp (125 kW; 169 PS) at 7,200 rpm and 140 lb·ft (190 N·m) at 5,000 rpm for 5-speed manual, 158 bhp (118 kW; 160 PS) at 6,700 rpm and 140 lb·ft (190 N·m) at 5,000 rpm for automatic. Engine redline was raised by 500 rpm to 7,200 rpm in manual model. The suspension and gearbox have been fine-tuned; latter offers smoother shifts and automatic transmission will be introduced in Europe for the first time.
So you see, the car was unveiled in 08 as an 09 model.![]()
Nope, its 2009. 2008 on european models, but only because of the difference in dating model years. If you check part numbers on mazdacomp, it is very clear.
Robert, the LSD is part of an option package. Most GT's have it, but it can be found on Touring models with the suspension package. Nails is right on with the yellow shocks. The best answer is still to call mazda with the VIN.

Thanks for the information.
Sort of making a change, Keeping the CR and getting rid of the FirebirdI hate to let go of the Firebird, but it's time.
A NC is on the short list, but I have not made up my mind yet.
There are several good ones on the market, in the 06-08 range. Rumor has it that Cheavin will be selling his soon, which has Ohlins and a HT already.

Ohlins would be a sweet bonus.
I really don’t know what I am going to do. My cheap side is starting to kick in, saying I don’t need another car.

It only goes to show when people can no longer discriminate on the grounds of race, religion, or sexual orientation, they can improvise and still find someone to hate. - Dave Moulton
Its either been destrapped like mine to relieve the tension that tears the seams on the vinyl top, or its torn completely free on its own. I've never seen one tear off all the way witout a gaping hole, some I'm guessing the former. Might be a former m.net owner.
