Ride with me at ECR next weekend, you'll change your tune.

Took my car to Trackdog to make sure the car was ready for Hallett. I drove it last weekend and did not like a sound I was hearing. Gary gave it a test drive today and the diff exploded. Sorry guys for the mess on your street. 23 years and a bunch of abuse will do that some times.

That blows! But better today than in two weeks. Plenty of time for a new one.

Yep Glad it broke a couple of weeks before Hallett and at our shop no less. Another bonus is bnordin is able to upgrade to the much stronger Torsen. Texas Stig's old Torsen I think.

Jovany has the old diff out and will get the new diff in tomorrow. The old diff is a large paper weight. It's literally in pieces. One swiss cheese differential for free if anyone wants it!

Holy Smokes, you were still running the puny 1.6 diff?
I'm surprised it lasted this long, you must be paw-pawing it.

are you going to keep the 4.30 gear ratio?

Bobby's new diff will pull him out of trouble when William practices his late-braking techniques...

Not sure if this video helps the kittens but here it is.

    I though I'd show you pics of Bobby's rear-end.

It exploded out the lower left side of the case.

A bolt shot up through the upper left of the case as well.

    Yikes!

This would have most certainly been an end of Bob's weekend and a tow home. Good timing little red car!

1:25.2 in a PTC car with godly driver, totally different lap:

I should be able to turn a 1:26.9 in my car. EEK!!! I got in that car and in just like 7 laps ran a 27 without even trying, in a car I don't own.

You can trust that it's built to the limits of the class and on my car at 2230lb my power limit was going to be 168whp; that car is probably lighter. He and that car won PTC and TTC at nationals last year and he's probably doing it again this year, but in another car. That was done on NT-01s too, he didn't even put the Hoosiers on which are still legal in C.

The two-dozen laps we spent together changed the way I drive a car on track, that's for sure.

Spent some quality time up at Track Dog and under the hood to make sure the engine compartment stays a little cooler. Gary's silicone intake + a TDR header blanket. Almost ready to go!

Suddenly that intake is super popular. I tried a bunch of different ones and this one did the best and doesn't heat soak.
