I'm actually from the colony. I recently moved up by 380. Couldn't look cool going on 25 living with the parents lol. I've heard about red line a little bit. I went with royal purple cause ive heard good things and orielys carries it in store. It's my daily driver so I want her to be reliable more than anything.

    Arsonist? Lol

how big a deal is it to change a throw out and pilot bearing? In the next year I'd like to replace the shocks and brakes. I think I can manage the brakes, but I have no clue how to attack shocks.

Oh Bruce Willis(hudsonhawk) appreciate the input lol. Did they leave a lil chocolate on the pillow jk

The bearings are easy to change, once you drop the transmission.

Brakes are easy tricky on miatas if your not paying attention different then most cars nonow stocks and struts arnt too bad for it down to about an hour and a half for all 4 corners

ive honestly yet to do a clutch on a miata can't say lookin forward to it but it shouldn't be too bad

Im in Valley Ranch, I have done all three. You can get a timing wheel(crank) to advance/retard your timing, suspension and clutch are tougher at my age.

I'm a new miata owner (99 NB) and in the general area (Corinth). I'm like the OP and quickly becoming a Miata info sponge. I've already done a few general maintenance items, but I'm about to go big league with a timing belt, water pump and radiator repalcement job in the very near future.

I am impressed. Most people don't know that reference.

Just cause I don't own one does not mean I don't know how to work on one. My wife used to own a 94 and I did a lot of work on it. In addition I have worked on other members cars.

The clutch all depends on how stuck the flywheel bolts are. On one we had to use a 4 foot breaker bar to turn the crank while a wrench was held stationary on the flywheel bolt to break it loose.

Damn^^ I've never had an issue like that everything's easy with the right tools though just got done doing a side job clutch on a 2000 celica don't do it if someone asks haha

Air gun on the flywheel bolts makes everything much easier.

    Highland Village here.

For body work, I've been very happy with Caliber Collision in Corinth, just on the south end of Denton off of I35E.

I've done a LOT of Miata work over the years... engine swaps, head swaps, alternators, brakes, clutch slaves, top, etc... now I have a new one so I'm crossing fingers for years of no work other than a few mods. :)
