Default Equipe Rapide Challenge Cup #5 Mirror Cross, 7/14/13, Mineral Wells

The peanut gallery had nothing bad to say about our mirrorcross in March so we decided to do it again. Actually, we had lots of positive feedback on that format. People really liked the event because the course was well designed by Greg Piper and they got 12 runs to earn style points. Greg will be doing the course again but we will be giving 16 runs, 8 on each side. The competitor will be sent to the starting line and do back to back left, right, left, right side runs. Then back to the grid. We will repeat this process 4 times for a total of 16 runs. Registration is open so register early and register often. I'm going to name the event Embrace the Other Side. Kind of a yin-yang, jedi-sith, coke-pepsi type of thing.

    Enjoy,

Looking forward to it. Always glad to see Piper designing a course on occasion.

I'll be there, but will need to leave at halftime. i enjoyed the one in March - those quick short courses match my attention span!

Unfortunately, I'll be in Seattle Maybe not unfortunate as the temps are in the 70's this time of year!

Great! That's the one thing that takes too little time as it is -- the driver's meeting.

I think it's all just stuff on his screensavers. That's normal everyday life in the Cost compound.

I noticed that registration is kinda low for this kind of event. Is there a minimum number we need to hit in order to keep this a mirrorcross?

It needs to be around 50. We should have enough including walk ups and online procrastinators. Worse case, Piper has designed a course that can be run as a regular event. It takes about 10 more workers to do a mirror cross than a regular autocross.

I've invited some of the Spokes people, hopefully that will add to the turnout.

Avarice and I are dining at the McDonalds in Willow Park (exit 418 off I-20, west of Fort Worth). We will be there from 7:15-7:45 in case anyone else wants to join. We'll get to Mineral Wells at 8:15.
