    Default Possibly bad injector?

    I think I have a bad injector.
I've noticed that sometimes when I cold start my 1990 Miata(145k miles), there is a cylinder that is missing.

When this occurs, it takes 10-20 seconds and then the cylinder starts to hit. When on the road, I don't detect any misses in upper rpm's.

    Anyone familiar with these symptoms?

I'm going to check plugs and wires tomorrow, to see if I can isolate which cylinder has the cold start miss.
I might try to use the temp gun if the plugs and wires don't show which cylinder is missing.

Use a stethoscope or just stick a long screwdriver(to your ear) on there and listen to the injectors during startup, have someone else start it. Shouldn't take you long to figure out which one is at fault if it is an injector. They click loudly when listening, if they didn't function they wouldn't click. If they all function then look elsewhere for your issue.

Also pulling plug wires is pretty definitive too, if you pull one and the sound doesn't change that is obviously your problem cylinder
