I like the X Class as it really pushes a driver to get it done in just 3 runs. I did not have a co-driver but Cobb and I shared an idea. He ran before I did and the idea worked. I used the idea also and that is what made the difference. I guess this is an example where co-driving is an advantaged over a single driver. That is why I don't like co-driving as it gives an unfair advantage to a team. I won't get on that soap box.
I asked my self what would have happend if the proposed class reorganization was in place? R. Jones in AS vs BS and the MS-R in BS using the current pax numbers. I was surprised that it did not change the finish positions much. It will be interesting to see what the Pax numbers will be with the move to non-R tires for most of us in Stock. X-Class might be completely different next year although most in the class will still be on r-comps or slicks.
