I just pulled one off a project car I've got. I'll trade you straight up for your factory air box with the filter in it.

Does it go from where the old box was and where the maf is???

Yes, just like the TDR pic, it attaches to the maf eliminates the airbox. Your new cone filter slides right onto the round flange and clamps down just like any other CAI. Pm me if you want to see it.

Looks basically identical to this, minus the lip on the round side. It bolts to your existing MAF, then you put the filter onto it. Mine is in a box in the garage, so not going to dig it out tonight.

Another quick question?? isn't it not good to install the cone filter right there near the heat of the exhaust???

I think TDR sells a heat blanket for that.

If you have the factory heat shield installed, you are drawing the same air as the factory box did. In 100+ temps, all air is hot. :)

When you are moving, the car passes cooler outside air from behind the headlight and to the airbox area.

TDR Heat Sheild works on all factory and aftermarket headers and exhaust manifolds for 1990-2013 Miata and MX5.

I will have it at Kellers tomorrow night. I've had multiple inquiries, so whoever shows up first with a good 1.6 airbox gets it.
