    Default prototypes are out testing!!

Hello all! I'm happy to announce that the first two prototypes of our soon to be released NB2 "ram air" scoop systems are installed and in the testing stage right now.

The first short runs around the block show the air intake temps are ONLY 5-7 degrees above ambient temperature! The first kit is installed with a stock NB2 airbox, the second has a Monsterflow intake(re: it will work with ANY intake you have, except a Randal).

The kit will install in about 2 to 3 hours with only a Dremel(tm) and a socket set. Minimal cutting of the car and some plastics is required, but easy to do.

We're writing up the instructions now(with pictures) and will have a first run of 10 (with a low group buy price)very soon!

Post up here if you are interested, pictures will follow.

P.S. Yes, it is a hand-made kit... It is not as "pro" as an expensive carbon fiber kit, but it is also very stealthy, so nobody sees it anyway!

I may be interested in this. At this point, my intake is stock all the way from the engine to MAF, then a silicone U from there with a custom filter to sit behind the driver's side headlight. Air temps are slightly better, but I would like to get air from outside the engine bay.
Would I have to change much for this kit?

nothing will change for you... our kit brings fresh air into the engine compartment through the(enlarged) hole that is already there. your intake set-up will just get fresh, cool air( realize that the hole on NBs actually runs as a vacuum from the wheel well... look at your fender liner and you'll see what I mean)

Are y'all using something like Torque or OBDlink to measure air temperature?
