    Default Crank pulley bolt.

So my timing belt busted and I had the car towed to my house. I have it torn down, but I am stuck at loosing the crank bolt. I have the car in 5th gear with the wife pressing on the brakes. All that I get is the crank trying to turn. Anyone have any suggestions or wanna come help?

Are the rear wheels on the ground for the fifth gear to help?

    Maybe apply some heat?

Pull TDC #1 spark plug and fill the cylinder with rope. The more natural the better, for particle sake. Cotton, hemp, wool... Fill it with a few feet and then wrench til it comes loose.

I don't recomend this to torque it on.

You should just buy the fm tool. Or make one, it's not hard. I'd lend you mine. But I use it way too much.

Car came with a underdrive pulley, so the FM tool appears to be useless.

Tried removing the CAS and bumping it, but wouldn't do anything but tilt the car. Gonna see about getting an impact wrench on it.

They may have used red lock tight. Only way to break it loose is with heat.

Big impact gun for the win. Now to wait for the weekend to finish cleaning it up and install the new belt.
