Thread: Final repairs before Hallett

    Default Final repairs before Hallett

Ok, finished up the last items before Hallett. I knew the upper and lower rubber boots on my shifter had to crap, because the console and shifter both get hot while driving. I swung by Tack Dog this morning and Gary poked me up. To my surprise, when i got it all apart, i found that the 4 bolts holding the tranny cover were almost about to fall out - that would have sucked to have the whole shifter come out of the trans while driving. Got it all together and added a header blanket also.

That should say Gary hooked me up not poked me up - sorry Gary.

Installed my ms2 today, and the stupid tps on the throttle body I bought doesn't work! FML! Now I get to spend another $120 on a new one. Awesome. That's what I get for doing shit last minute.

You're almost there! Shit happens... I still need to check my brake hardware, so I may be running back to TDR tomorrow for pads. Fingers crossed...

Is that a cowl cover for an NB?
I only see NA's available on Trackdog's web site.

I think that's just a sticker on another cowl cover. We don't make ones for the NB.

You are correct. Beatrush cowl from Goodwins. It just needed a sticker and I had a track dog one available.

I heard "CLANK CLANK CLANK, MOTHERFUCKER...CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW!!!!ONEONE" That was it cutting into the springs as I drove. Luckily someone stopped to help me and we went home to get my jack and a spare tire.

The bad news is that I'm going to run-out of tire at Hallett again this year and I have to buy another set for NASA the next weekend. Oh well, back on the bike.

Figures, I come home from an out of town trip and look what's waiting for me at home. Too bad I don't have time to install before Hallett. Oh we'll, I'll get it in before Texas World Speedway later this month.

That will only take an hour to install. Doesn't even require jacking up the car or removing the under tray. Ask me how I know. Changed one in the parking lot of the Best Western in Seminole OK in June.

Bring it with you and we'll throw it in for you in 15 minutes and then shame you for being a mechanical wuss.

You're right - only takes about an hour to install. Koyo radiator with Mishimoto fans and shroud.
