Any fans here? The series is almost over but let's talk about Heisenburg and Jesse, Bitch!

    Here's my first question.

What do I watch next? Any other shows that are as captivating as Breaking Bad? I actually started watching Breaking Bad around Season 4. I caught up on Netflix. I'm gonna need another fix of the blue meth or something just as good!

I usually catch on to shows after they've been on for 4 or 5 seasons, so not sure if I'll be of much help, but I will definitely miss Mr. White when he's gone. Though the most recent episode was seriously painful, and at this point he's an evil lost soul, who I have no empathy for. Why'd they have to write it that way? I don't want the series to end with me hating him.

Word is that Saul is being spun off into Better Call Saul.

I got roped into watching GIRLS, which is a disaster. STAY AWAY.
Orange is the New Black was decent for an episode or two, but became boring.

If you're into documentaries, checkout the UP series, which chronicles the lives of 14 British children from different social backgrounds. Every 7 years, they revisit them, so you get to see them grow up from age 7 to the present day, when they're 56. Seriously amazing stuff.

Game of Thrones? Been there done that? If not, check it out.

    Every single episode of 24?

We're in the same boat, looking for another good/bad show. I only have enough time for maybe 1 or 2 episodes per week, just don't watch that much tv so I have to choose wisely. We don't have cable and I stream or download all our shows so we dont see commercials, and really have no idea what shows are current.

We've have been loyal Dexter fans, havent seen the current season but from the direction last season went and things i've read/heard the show has apparently turned into a huge mess. Not so motivated to check it out, but i'm sure I will, and be disappointed.

We started watching Mad Men and it was pretty boring, as were just about every other show we've tried I seriously think BrBa has ruined me for a while at least, not much seems to stack up against it. I was really into Dexter before BrBa started, now even it got boring.

The only others that have kept me entertained has been Arrested Development, The Office(UK), and The League. I guess BrBa hasn't ruined comedies yet.

By the way Ozymandias was freaking brilliant. Painful, yes, very. I was pissed off until the ending and I realized what he was doing. It was obvious the last exchange was him acting a level of evil he clearly struggled with. Makes me think it was an intentional attempt to make everyone completely hate him, so he can make a clean getaway without his son having to miss his dad. It would be better in his mind if his family thought he did everything himself, hated him for everything that happened and thought he were dead. Not sure how close I am to the reality, but that's how it seemed to me.
He took 100% of the blame on himself out of one last act of some sort of twisted love for his family. And it seemed Skyler knew what he was doing and (sort of) went with it in her own way.
Think about it, he was willing to give up his entire nest egg for one member of his not so immediate family, then he twisted it around and pretended it was intentional...doesn't add up, even for his gigantic evil ego.

After the episode was over I told my wife, man I had made up my mind that Walt had become pure evil and should be taken out with no remorse, then I started thinking about that last exchange, how it didn't make sense, and damn it I sort of like the guy again. Brilliant freaking show.

I'm happy with the ending. Much better than Lost or Seinfeld's finale's.

Sad to see it end but the last episode both surprised me and still wrapped up most loose ends.

Ending was too predictable. I wanted crazy... but Walter kills the bad guys and dies, yay.

I think the only truly predictable part was how he used the Ricin. I was surprised by most everything else but I had no preconceived ideas either.

I wanted to see him go into witness protection for transition to Malcolm in the Middle plot.

It was predictable, but extremely satisfying for me. I really enjoyed watching the nazis get mowed down by 7.62 tracers through a buick fender, Jack going out personally in his own signature style. I especially enjoyed watching Jesse seizing the moment with Todd & the handcuffs. I think I stood up and fist pumped at that part, lol. Lydia and the ricin was a perfect touch as well.

Was the first time a really good story ended without me being sad its gone. It summed it up well and ended the way it needed to, for me at least. Last 8 episodes has so many heartbreaks, it was nice to see it end on a satisfying and fitting note.

I'm still trying to figure out of Walt intended to get himself shot. He was peaceful enough about it, and he's always been steps ahead of everyone around him, so did he, in effect, take himself out?

I don't think he took himself out but I think he accepted that he wasn't going to live much longer. He gave Jesse the choice to take him out which he, of course, declined which was also Jesse's way of saying, "I'm not going to do what you want anymore." I think Walt was ready to kill Jesse when he heard he was still cooking but when he saw Jesse was a prisoner, he saved him.

I agree, and i've determined Walt had to have been hit with a ricochet of some sort since he was below the line of fire before he hit the switch. Also its not likely he would have been hit just once with that thing either and doubt he would have made it as long as he did keeping composure with a direct 7.62 NATO to the gut.

I watched that scene again and you can hear him wince in pain once as the bullets are flying a few feet above him.

My take on "took himself out". He knew he was a dead man in a few weeks so I think he walked in there preparing to be taken out with them if that's what it took to get the job done. I doubt he expected to walk out of that room. Jesse was an unexpected twist, he was suprised to see him enslaved so he ad libbed and saved his life. At the same time he was suprised they made it out alive so he gave Jesse the chance to write his wrongs and Jesse refused wanting him to suffer and possibly live to see justice, in addition to no longer being manipulated by him.

He then walked into the lab fingerprinting everything, possibly hoping to be tied once again to the blue that was "better than ever"...so people would believe he and Jesse cooked it, and not Jesse alone. Noticed he died holding the mask, seeming to investigators he took a bullet in the middle of a cook and Jesse made it out.

Back from the dead! This past Christmas, AMC had a Breaking Bad marathon from start to finish. I DVR'd it all and we just finished watching it this past week.

Great characters and a great show...one of, if not, the best I've ever seen.

Jesse had to be bonkers by that last episode.

Don't spoil it yet. Netflix just got the final half of the last season, so I'm 2 episodes in. Love it.
