Default In need of a bigger car :(

This is not a classified ad, as Im not selling my miata... yet.

Just wanted to vent. I am in love with my 95 Montego Blue, but after working for 4 years to get my fiance's VISA, she is now here in the USA and my car is too small to take her and my son around.

She wants a beetle or a Tuscon.

    Kill me now.

Miata isn't worth anything so just get another car and keep the beater Miata around as a spare!

There is a program that will let me use it as a $3000 trade in because of its age.

    Ya sure??
    REPLACEMENT ASSISTANCE APPLICATIONS
The program is no longer accepting vehicle replacement applications at this time. All replacement applications received through May 24, 2013, have been processed and correspondence has been mailed to those applicants. NCTCOG is not able to assist walk-ins because of limited resources.

The program will resume replacement assistance for a limited period in 2014; however, an exact date has not been determined and you will need to apply at that time if you wish to be considered for replacement assistance.
If you're willing to wait, it will be available again next year.

I was wondering how this deal was funded and I found the answer.... We are all paying for it......

How is the AirCheckTexas Drive a Clean Machine Program funded?
$6 is collected from owners of 1996 or newer model year vehicles in nonattainment counties
who pay for vehicle emissions inspections.

If the Miata is in decent shape, find a buyer. If you use that program I think they will crush the Miata

I was thinking about this program for my recent graduate, but I never transferred the title to him.

your car is probably worth more than $3000 if its in good condition..... sell now before it gets any colder, or wait till spring when it is top down weather.

This is not a for sale ad, but I have a low mileage 2007 A3 ready for a new home....kind-a like a cross between a beetle and a Tucson.
