I'll be there instructing
2009 MX-5 STR and track toy
2003 Z06 -- Not a Miata, but 3200# and 400 RWHP is fun
OTM -- 2012 Sierra, 2016 Impala (Appliances)
I'll be there molesting Corvettes and Mustangs.
Anybody have any studded snow tires they could loan me?
Weather looks pretty bad. But it will be better in the car with the heater on full blast than standing in a corner station.

I really hope it stays dry. I can deal with the cold but I'm not a fan of running when its cold and wet.
Maybe it will be a good learning experience:
Rain = Slow Hands and Smooth Inputs
ICE = Glacial Hands and Feather Inputs
I'm taking off my good tires tonight and putting them in the garage. Cruddy tires will be fine for ICE & Rain.

This is a no brainer guys. Would you want to run the 1.3 in crappy conditions? When someone asks what north Texas track config you would NOT want to have an off would be??? ECR ranks up there maybe but the MSR 1.3 is "hell no I don't want that in wet/snow/cold." Good luck to all of us on the track this weekend.

Yep, I wouldn't go near either in poor conditions. Of course, it is N Texas, so it may amount to nothing but some cold windy weather.

Yeah, I made the call this morning and canceled. This will probably amount to nothing like the last winter storm, but I don't want to chance a 90 mile drive to the track at dark thirty Saturday morning with a possibility of ice on the roads and bridges.
Besides, I've been volunteered to co-coach my son's soccer team, and they (supposedly) have their first game Saturday at noon. At least that is indoors and only a half mile from my house...

I checked the weather again this morning and its showing that saturday is suppose to be dry, thats saying if what comes down Thurs. and Fri. dries.
That may be the case in Cresson, but the forecast at my house is winter mix into Friday afternoon, and again on Saturday afternoon, with temps dropping below freezing on Thursday and staying there until Sunday afternoon.
I'm not so worried about the weather at the track. I'm more worried about the drive down there and back from my house near Plano.
