Rogue did mine. The problem is .....
he did such a good job with the top, it really makes the rest of the car look shabby.
I just picked up a red hardtop for my green car... as sharp as that looks I may have to get it painted. I know Rogue is an option, and I will check with him. But has anyone had success anywhere within Dallas? My car is not a show queen (track car), but I don't want it done poorly either. I'll most likely paint it black but I might do emerald to match the car. Any suggestions? What's the ballpark $$ to have a hard top painted?
Thanks

Rogue did mine, also. He did a beautiful job on my Montego Blue Mica. I'm very pleased.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Oddly enough, I haven't been on the forum in awhile and came back to ask about getting a hard top painted.... luckily somebody beat me to it
Just a ballpark estimate, what does Rogue charge for a full paint job? I wouldn't really need "great" just "all the panels in the same shade of black, preferably slightly shiny". This would be way off too.
Rogue doesn't do "OK" paint. He is a bit of a perfectionist and won't take a job that will make people think he puts out weak product when they see it later, so you can expect the price to be competitive but not bargain basement. The results will be outstanding.
He is kinda mean, though.

If you're just going to do it black, consider plasti-dipping it. It is cheap and it looks great on a hardtop:
And now it lives on the red one:
I think I may have the whole car painted. I have an idea...

Look up 50 dollar rustoleum paint job. I rustoleum rattle canned my hard top with pretty good results. Just takes alot of sanding and prep but its cheap. Compounded and polished to a shine. Looks good to me.
You can get spray cans of factory matched paint colors, too. But as was mentioned, prep work is key. If you want a discount paint job, not a bad way to go
