I went to tom thumb for a couple of things tonight around 4:30, and it was a madhouse. I waited in line 15 minutes just to do self checkout for bananas, hot chocolate, and chilli mix. They were actually out of everything else on my list. I went across the street to Sprouts and was one of the only people in the store. 5 minutes in and out.
I was there at 2:00 doing the same exact thing! Great minds think alike.
I could see this happening on BET or comedy central real soon... I need to find someone to pitch it 2 and try and make some money off it quick.

It ain't bad yet. I made a beer run at 10 last night and the roads were slushy, but the layer of water underneath hadn't frozen yet. Still a little slick in some places. I have a feeling there are going to be a LOT of wrecks today though... it's coming down pretty thick out there right now.

Now who's the dumbass for buying that generator the week after Katrina??!!?? Antenna TV paying off too!! Got a heater, one TV, the gas fireplace and the coffee maker fired up, along with the phone hotspot! 70 deg in the living room. I almost don't care when the power comes back on.
If you can read this, you're probably fine, but if anyone needs help with anything, let me know. Obviously, I'm in Dallas (white Rock area), but we have a truck and a Subaru, so I can help if anyone has a serious need.
