Default Looking for recommendations for Machine shop to freshen 1.8

Well a few months ago my Miata ran low on oil after a long drive and started knocking. Today I finally got around to doing a oil change on it and confirmed my fears. The oil had a lot of trash in it, metal bits, and lots of copper too.

I was wondering what the go to Miata machine shops are in the area, and what the typical cost of a rebuild for a short block is?
Might consider having some head work done also (port/polish). Would be a stock rebuild, may turbo the car further down the road but would only plan to make around 250~hp.

    Thanks for any info.

A quick search will give you everything you need, there was a similar thread a few weeks ago.
