Thread: 225 R-S3 Discontinued?

    Default 225 R-S3 Discontinued?

I'm looking at tires for this season and went on TR to see if they still had 225/45/15 R-S3's. Now maybe I'm missing something, but I'm only seeing 16"+. Surely they didn't discontinue one of their most popular sizes...

It is rumored that the RS3 is going away, so the only sizes are what is left. Hopefully they will be back in a new incarnation, or the next iteration (RS4?) Is on the way. It would be a shame to lose that tire.

    Why not NT01 from Nitto?

Those will kick me out of street tire classes.

That stinks like cat poop! I love my 225 RS3's but I still have 7+k miles/a year or so of life in them, so I guess I shouldn't sweat it. Hopefully they are working on a new tire because I heard the rivals have an even worse ride quality than the rs3, which is hard to believe.

The RS-3 is dead, long live the RS-4.

I hope that thread is correct. A mildly update RS3 would be fine with me.
