Looks like soon you won't be getting a inspections sticker anymore.

But you will still be required to get the car inspected.

Oh thank Christ. The processes we have to go through to protect those stupid damn stickers are getting ridiculous. We have to go to parts to get the stickers, but only three guys in there are actually "approved" to get the stickers out of the safe, and they're never around. When you have to do a safety inspection, it usually takes longer to get the sticker than do the actual inspection. I wonder how this is going to affect dealers, as we do inspections on every used car that comes through. Maybe now we will get rid of those stupid VI-30 forms they're always complaining about.

    ^Probably along with your insurance.

Motorists will get a printout certifying that the vehicle passed the inspections.

The new law eliminates the inspection sticker altogether. Motorists will get a printout certifying that the vehicle passed the inspections. They’ll only pay the mechanic the amount that the station gets to keep.

The motorist will pay the rest of the inspection fee, the part the state keeps, to the county along with the annual vehicle registration fee. The registration sticker itself will be proof of passing the inspection.
Looks like you will also get to pay twice! Yippee!

Golly, you mean it will be harder to drive uninsured AND drive an unsafe and/or polluting vehicle? Darn, what's a broke-ass ricer to do?

Big brother already knows if you passed inspection or not, now they will simply use that knowledge. The machine transmits to the state at the end of the inspection, pass or fail, ASM, TSI, safety, or OBD.
