Default Where to get low profile headlights for NA Miata

I am looking to get a solution for low profile headlights.

Anyone found a solution that doesn't cost several hundred dollars?

Maybe I can start with some universal projectors on Ebay.

Yes! Because eBay sells quality stuff! If you're not worried about actually seeing at night, it should work well. I've heard of some homemade kits using some GM car lights as a donor. Check on CR.net or the pointy board.

The well-documented and numerous threads on this topic all agree that lowpro/cheap/effective are a "pick two" scenario. The closest thing to getting the result you want that I've seen is using rectangular H4 housings and adapting them to the existing buckets/motors. Still not cheap, but probably closer to $100 than $400.

Not low-pro at all. But they've kept me from hitting deer!

What he said. If you want a lo-pro AND you want to see at night, the Moss kit is the only one I've seen that's as good as the barn doors with Hella e-codes.
