What year Miata?
On my NA, I picked up a set of Rancho shock boots at a 4x4 shop for 3 quid a piece.
Ordered AGX shocks off an ebay vendor today - $290 hard earned dollars (gulp). I've noticed a lot of people have got aftermarket boots and put the OEM bump stop on them. Any problems with doing this? It does save almost $100 on new OEM boots! (Mine resemble black spaghetti...)

Treibenscnell - it's a 96 miata. And it's something lile the rancho boots I was looking at - pretty in red, cost $2.50 each...

Man! I didn't realize there was a cheaper substitute for the factory part. I feel like I got ripped off now. The stock ones are sooo expensive.

The OEM shock boots for NA's have the bump-stops as part of the boot. The bump-stops will get old and crunchy with age. You'll be happy you sprung for the new ones!
If it makes you feel better the bump stop is integrated in the boot on our NA cars, and the bump stops can get crusty with age!
I know that make me feel better!
Why? Was that a funny? :POriginally Posted by onething
