TWS to become a Master Planned Community

TWS was sold Dec '13 to a Real Estate investment firm.
They have applied for a MUD (Municipal Utility District) a way to get someone else to pay for roads & sewers besides the developer.

2 mil to take down the grand stand, tire disposal and there is a oil well on the property. It will get torn down at some point but not anytime soon.

If the place was not a shit hole I would care more. Just sucks that we might have to driver more to other tracks with NASA.

I own a house between the university and TWS. All the new development is south of TAMU. With the student population at 50K+ and the new hospital off of highway 6, closing TWS was going to happen sooner or later.
