We had to solder injector drivers on every single MSPnP we got from them when we were trying to work with them to develop the ECU for MR2s. The cars would fire up though, just run on 2 or 3 cylinders until we fixed the one/s that weren't soldered [usually at all]. Maybe you got lucky and they didn't solder any?
if you did the AFM delete you'll need to have the IAT wired in. Not sure if that will cause a no-start, but it needs to be there, so it's a good place to start.
