I'd say the easier solution is to remove and dent/put a relief in the trans tunnel, had to do the same on my NB1 with the Raceland I had, after no problem.

This is an known problem for "knock off" headers but with 10-15 minutes(maybe less depending on high the car is off the ground) of patience with a hammer and problem solved, small "price" to pay for a much less expensive header. :)
