What are the courses like at Mesquite? Never been there not even sure how big the lot is.... For what it is worth only been to autox events at Mineral Wells. Might have to stop by and watch if not enter since it is so close to home.
Hi Guys, Thanks so much for making the ER autocross school and event #2 a success. We had a really good turnout. It is rare that any event can get 83 entrants in Mineral Wells except a national event. We logged close to 1000 runs and I hope you had a good time. Please join us for event #3 at Mesquite Memorial Stadium on June 1st. Check out our website at www.equiperapide.com for more details on registration. I hope to see you there.

They are not as big as MW, obviously. I think courses there go between 30-40 seconds depending on cross overs and stuff. Course gravels up a lot and getting off line is a huge punishment. However, the club does a fantastic job of blowing the course between heats to keep the nasty stuff at bay. Even though its not as grippy as other places, it's great for variety.

Are they a 4 runs in am 4 in the pm format? Usually? I will probably check it out to give my car a bit of a shakedown for some open track time in later down the road.

Run format is typically 8-10 runs, split equally am/pm. Exact run count depends on attendance and course length (how many cars can safely run at once). Its very rare to see less than 8. We run an AB/BA format at ER, so the folks who run early in the day will run last in the afternoon, which helps give everyone a balance of warm and cool run/work conditions.
We also offer the Rapid Pax payout which gives cash prizes to the top 20 finishers based on the PAX index of your best times.
Mesquite Memorial is a great site for its close-in location, comfortable facilities (indoor bathrooms!) and nearby fast food/gas. The lot is similar in size to TMS, but configured differently and has a slope that adds camber to the challenge of some corners. The surface has good grip, but you cannot get off-line or you will pay, much like MW.

I'm looking for 3 brave souls to help with setup at 7 AM. Perks include getting time off during the autocross, work in the cool morning air instead of shagging cones in the heat, and automatic 1st place trophy in class (if nobody else signs up in your class), and getting your name published on an online list
for all your friends to see. email to [email protected]

I'm in, but registering on site. Axware has never liked me...
Jeff coming along, too, probably.
What's left of a '96 Miata with stock clutch.
My car exceeds my driving ability. That's the only possible explanation.
Just a few more hours to register online.

Thanks & great job to the entire the ER crew. I know many people poo poo on the Mesquite site, but it was a great event. In case y'all are curious about the next "hot tire"... It's NOT the Fuzion Touring. I'm anxious to drive the S2000 on decent rubber.
Poo poo, I say, poo poo!
Actually, it's not bad as long as your club has two blowers. Our club just has McShane.
Great event, fun course. Thanks for the hard work to pull these things off.

Great event, and the weather wasn't too bad either. I wasn't expecting to do so well, but the S2K is just that fast. Here's my 37.2 run
