Thread: Browser Spammed

    Default Browser Spammed

It seems I clicked on something I wasn't supposed to and now I am getting B.S. pop-ups, links in text, etc. I'm running Ad-block in Chrome, ran malware bytes and ad-aware but haven't been able to clean it. Any recommendations.

...and no, I wasn't looking at porn. I was looking for software to combine pdf files.
    ...and across the line.

    LOLz!

I do have pdf's to combine. I downloaded a NC2 factory service manual and every damn page is it's own pdf file. Not exactly useful. BTW, Malware Bytes and a reboot with a tweak by AVG and I think I'm in the clear now.

On a completely separate note, anyone know where a good place is to "research" enhanced female bosoms?

Boot in safe mode and run malware from your desktop.

google adwcleaner and download only from bleepingcomputer.com. While you are on bleepingcomputer, also download roguekiller and combofix. run roguekiller first and after it runs scans, press delete button. Then run adwcleaner and accept the recommended cleaning. then reboot. You should be good. combofix is a heavier duty cleaner but not usually required. After it boots back up, run malware bytes again.

This is probably a result of you just clicking next, next, next during the install and not reading the reason why you were clicking next. Sounds like bloatware or bundling. Also looking in control panel, programs and features. Sort by date and uninstall any crap. Next time RTFM.
