My son's house in LA has a lot of black ants in the house. Around the house there are lots of vegetations on the hillside. I wonder other than ants traps what else can we keep the ants under control?
Gabriel
Black ants?? Are they carpenter ants??
I get ants every spring... meh.
I just soak the little bastards in ant killer, throw down some ant traps, and wait to see where they come in next year.

No I don't think they are carpenter ants. House just fumigated for termite. Actually seen no sign of wood damage. They are more brown than black, kind of a little smaller than fire ants. I guess time to get ant traps!
Gabriel
Get the ant bait things with poison in them. The ants go in and take the food back to HQ. It takes a week or so, and you may have an increase of ants at first, but they should die out.
