Greetings All,
My name is Keath Marx. I will be moving to Dallas in about a week to start a new job. I grew up in Mineral Wells, Texas and left after I graduated high school and went into the Navy. My wife Donna just started a new job in Atlanta, Ga and is hoping to find something in Texas and move home with me in the near future.
My wife and I have been autocrossing for around 13 years running both locally here in Virginia and surrounding states and nationally on a regular basis. We have started for a couple of months in a 2000 Ford Focus SE then quickly moved to a 2001 Celica GT which we ran for 4 years. From there we went to a 2002 Corvette Z06 and ran that for 7 years. The wife came in 4th in Super Stock Ladies at the National Championships a couple of times along with dozens of 1st places at National Tours. After that we went into a 2010 Subaru STI in STU class. We ran that for about a year and a half during which I trophied at a few National Tours and Match Tours. We got rid of the Subaru when we got tired of waiting for the stock Ringlands to fail. We have been co-driving Jadrice's Boss 302 Leguna Seca this year and haven't had a car of our own up until 2 weeks ago.
We just picked out an '03 Z06 to run locally and nationally. We may run it in A Street for the rest of this season but I am hoping to take it to SSP next year if not this year.
Anyway, Jeremy Foley pointed me to this site as one of the more active in the region. He also offered to vouch for me which I am not sure is a good thing or a bad thing![]()
I shared all of that above as a way of introducing myself and establishing my experience because the Z06 isn't likely to be ready for Autocrossing this month (June) and was looking to see if anyone is willing to offer me a co-drive. At any of the events around the area.
I look forward to getting down there and joining the local scene. I flabbergasts me that I grew up in Mineral Wells and wasn't aware there was a good autocrossing site right there!
Keath

Welcome aboard...having J-Fo vouch for you is Strike 1!
See you at an AX soon.
Welcome to the forum, and back to Texas.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.
