I'm in and looking forward to a chance to redeem myself after an abismal performance at the Equipe Rapide AX.

This is going to be my 1st Autocross event & I'm pretty stoked. I going to spend Friday & Saturday getting my "new" NA dialed & ready. Can't wait to see just how well this awesome car handles when taking full advantage as opposed to driving it on the streets. I'm also looking forward to meeting some fellow Miata AutoXers to learn from the experts. Any last minute advice?

Walk the course a lot before the event. Get an instructor for your first few runs. Ride with experienced drivers, you will most likely be shocked how fast they go, most are happy to have a passenger on their first few runs, but may not want one towards the end of the heat.

You will most likely end the day with hurt feelings by how badly you were out run (unless you are some kind of freak of nature), but almost everyone is slow when they start, so don’t worry too much about your times just have fun driving at your limit.

Does that mean you're volunteering to give me a ride-a-long Robert?

Believe me, I have no preconceived notion that I'll be fast any time soon. My whole intent is to enjoy my new "toy" & continue to get quicker.

Sure will, I drive the Blue ZO6 XAS131. I am half way fast, their are a lot of people faster in slower cars than me.
