Dude should've never gotten out of his car and walked in the middle of the track. Not saying what Tony did was okay, just that the whole thing was avoidable. Sucks. R.I.P. Kevin Ward Jr.

No way this was intentional. Racers look out for each other. It is unfortunate this person's temper got out of control and he paid the ultimate price for it. Stay cool and stay in the car.
M3 is always the answer.
Looks to me like Tony was behind another car when he came back around, probably didn't even see the guy until he was right on him. Terrible, and totally avoidable. TS really shouldnt be doing this level of racing, he's too big of a target for these guys to make a name for themselves. Sad.

Agree. Tragic for everyone involved.

Hate to be flip about this, but getting out of your car and running all over a live race track means an automatic Darwin nomination.

It only goes to show when people can no longer discriminate on the grounds of race, religion, or sexual orientation, they can improvise and still find someone to hate. - Dave Moulton
Agree. not convinced Stewart isnt a factor as well... but the long time practice of racers walking across a track to throw stuff or yell at other drivers needs to end. Set up a damn boxing ring/octagon up in the paddock if need be...but going after someone on the court.. field.. pitch.. gridiron or race track surface should have stiff fines, penalties and/or suspensions at any and all levels of participation from Peewee to PRO.
I'll bet track experience will be an automatic disqualifier for any potential juror in the impending wrongful death civil suit. Has to be a jury of "peers" you know.
That's what expert witnesses are for. Jury of your peers means breathing bipods. Not much other qualification. The whole justice system is the lowest common denominator of mankind.
...as for the Darwin award winner. I feel for his loved ones. But if they bring suit they can join my above classification.
Rule one, some one died so someone (with dead pockets) pays. I hate it but it's true.
