PCA sells head socks (which they buy at Lowe's) to take care of the loaner head thing... A number of folks (Garner, Hollinsworths come to mind) seem to like them even for their own helmets... You can hang the liner up to dry out some in between runs. Anyone have an idea where to look for these liners? Paint supplies, maybe?

Not a bad idea to get a helmet if you can spare the bucks. You are right on both accounts -- (1) you want a helmet that fits, and (2) you don't want to wear someone else's sweat.Since you have over a week, you might be able to get one from one of these inexpensive places:
Just be sure the helmet is at least Snell M2000 approved.

I had a Bell once that saved my life in a motorcylce crash, so I am aware of bennefits of getting a good one,...good thing is they arent priced as much as they used to be for a decent one,..I may be able to float it.
