Not sure who William uses, but I can vouch for baker99miata over on the west side. He runs a tire shop and is a cool fellow Miata guy.
Hey William where are you getting tires mounted for $40 - that sounds like a good price.
Thanks,

DFW Discount Tire at Buckingham and Plano Road. We worked out a deal with them but just bring them the wheels and tires off the car for that price. Wear a TDR hat and/or shirt and they'll think you work here.![]()
Don't tell Gary to raise price of the TDR t-shirts! 😄

That's just mean!

^I did...a little squirmy with the cold weather and mold release. I'll report back once they're scrubbed in a bit.
^That would be fun, except for the giant speed bumps they use!![]()
Sorry, all this chatter and traffic on the forum had me distracted!
I like them! Took them a bit to settle in and get 'round'. Now that they have, they are quiet on the street and relatively grippy....no complaints to date.
Different data point: I had Toyo R1-Rs (16") on my 2002 and I thought there were just okay until they got worse (pretty slippery once they were worn). Before I headed out to Laguna Seca for the 25th party, I put on some Yoko S-Drives. After that 4500-mile trip (9 days, 11 states), I've put on another 1500 or so and I still really like them -- grippy and quiet still.
It seems new tires are always such a nice change from the worn-out crap that just got replaced. The same goes for shocks and brakes. I'll be curious how I like these after another 10k miles. I'll also be curious how you like yours in a year, sammmmmmmmmmmmmm.
